LIGHT
This topic is most interesting as everything we see is a result of having light enter
our eyes. The workshops are fun and varied.
Different workshops for KS1 and KS2. These workshops involve the making of some
traditional toys such as Phenakistascopes, Thaumatropes, Various Spinners showing
different illusions etc.
The older toys especially the Victorian based items have loads of science involved
with them and so make it fun learning. The workshop explains about white light -
(the light we look through) the rainbow colours, reflection, shadows etc. Each pupils
will have something to take home, the workshop is completely self contained and all
items are supplied.
